Description

Although this lecture is now sold out, you can view it streamed live online here on October 2, beginning at 7:00pm PT.

TRACKS is the extraordinary story of Robyn Davidson, a 27-year-old Australian woman who set off to cross the desolate outback, accompanied only by four camels and a dog.

Photographer Rick Smolan was assigned by National Geographic to document Davidson’s journey, and he had his own adventure tracking her down. The outback of Australia, seen through Smolan's cameras, is an ancient awesome landscape swept by rain, heat and dust and inhabited by all varieties of marauding life, from poisonous snakes and wild bull camels to swarms of tourists clamoring after their newest heroine, the "Camel Lady."

Join Smolan as he recounts the unforgettable journey which will become an epic movie this fall, from the Oscar Winning producers of The Kings Speech, and staring Mia Wasikowska (Alice in Wonderland) as Davidson and Adam Driver (HBO’s Girls) as Smolan.
